Welcome to the Farber Lab website

The major focus of the laboratory is dissecting the complexity of the memory immune response mediated by T-helper or CD4 T cells. Memory immune responses protect an individual from succumbing to pathogens previously encountered via illness or vaccination, yet little is known about how immune memory is generated, maintained, or how it mediates its superior protective functions. We are taking both cellular and biochemical approaches toward addressing these fundamental questions on immunological memory, using in vivo models for influenza infection, transplantation and autoimmunity.
